I would like to see Ridgid come up with a cordless drill,like the 18volt Dewalt

So would I, but let's not hold our breath. There's a lot of fine portable electric tools out there, but that's not really the market Ridgid is in. Pipe tools is where we believe we excell and it is in our best interests to spend our time and talent there.

Some time ago, we did offer a short line of portable electrics which were not big sellers and were gradually discontinued over the past several years. So,let's be happy with what we do well and hopefully never see DeWalt making threading machines.

You mean an 18 V lithium?...or a lighter drill? They had an 18 V lithium shown on some of the HD displays...but it still hasn't been released.
