How about a dust chute with a fan so it can blow the chips into a bag like the new Craftsman that everyone is raving about?

Its a thought, the only comment I have is that the fan will draw a bit of power out of the motor leaving less for planing, since a 15 amp motor is the largest 120v motor you'll find.

Then how about the fan having it's own power supply? I wouldn't mind an extra cord so long as it can keep the planer free of chips and off my boards.

Now we are talking an accessory item! That means it could be made to fit the existing TP1300's like MINE!

You'd have to make sure they were plugged into two seperate circuits, otherwise you'll pop the breaker or overheat the wire.
