How about a wrench that will fit into the bolt holes on pump flanges to make tightening them easier? It could just be an attachment for a 1/2" drive ratchet wrench. Just a thought since most of the time the flanges are difficult to tighten in tight spaces and water pump plier slip off of them too easily.
you can make a flange wrench pretty easy that a pc. of pipe weld on a bolt that fits the flange holes then weld on a 2nd bolt down the pipe. to use you put one bolt in one hole the other on the outside of the flange. works great you can make any size to fit the size flange

Thanks for the suggestion. After I posted the question I thought about it and came up with a wrench of my own. I just used a spare flange as a template and welded some cold rolled to a piece of 1/4" plate, and they work like fingers to surround the flange. I also welded a 1" nut to the top of the plate so I could get a wrench on it.
that sounds good to. but the way i said will work on any 4or 8 bolt flange just as easy smile.gif
