Bathtub Drain Removal

I tried to remvoe the drain from my American Standard tub and the teets broke off. Now htere is nothing to grip it with for backing out. Any suggestions how to remove this drain?

It is difficult to remove it without damage. I have done it by carefully cutting the upper screw-in portion with a hack saw in two places like a piece of pie. It is not necessary to cut through where the threads would be damaged. Then with a chisel remove the pie slice. Then it should come out easily. In some cases it is only necessary to make one cut and chisel the two sides in to reduce the size of the drain and unscrew it.
