With Home Depot, Lowe's, etc. not handling a full line of Porter Cable and Dewalt brands of routers, is this a market that interests Ridgid?
Based on my favorable (but somewhat limited) experience with Ridgid tools, I'd wait to get a good (around $200) router, if I knew Ridgid has plans to make one.
thanks.

Judging from the lack of responce, Ridgid does not
seem to be in much of a hurry to put out a Router.
I was waiting to see what they were/are going to
offer. I can no longer wait and must make a decision.
With the release of pneumatic tools I'm becoming more hopeful that Ridgid will be developing more tools to compete across the board. As far as hand held power tools go, a router is one of the most glaring omissions. Since Ridgid has tools to compete in almost all of the hand held lines, I am hoping to see a plunge/fixed router combo in the next round of releases -- something that can compete with Bosch, PC, Dewalt, Hitachi, etc. Maybe the laminiate trimmer was the first step ... ?
