I have used Ridgid Tools for 20+ years. I have a slightly personal tie to them. My Uncle is a V.P. for Emerson in ST. Louis. I have for many years been very happy with my Ridgid Tools. Fortunately my Ridgid Woodworking Tools are all older Emerson made tools.
I have been informed that Emerson still owns the name Ridgid, but that they sold/outsourced the Ridgid woodworking tool line out to another manufacture that also make Ryobie. If this is moderated by a Ridgid/Emerson employee, your company might want to take a look at the loss of trust, confidence and name recognition currently going on with Ridgid Tools. The woodworking division is Killing that name.
If this board is moderated by the new company. You really might want to get your act together. The false information, lack of customer support, lack of parts and accessories, and shoddy products that too many people are getting is really taking hit to the name Ridgid.
