1. How about designing a hinged motor mount as an upgrade for the BS1400? The rubber shock mounts make it hard to keep the motor aligned and tension the belt properly. (Delta's motor mount is hinged)
2. The rubber grommetts deform down into the slots, To prevent that, I'd suggest adding a flat washer between the grommet and the slot in the base.
