Anybody got any ideas on Ground Source Heat Pumps. I need a new Trane and from what I'm seeing they're more efficient. If it's only a matter of a couple thousand more sounds like they'd be the thing to go with. I figure I'd go for the trenches and not for the deep drilling.

Ground source heat pumps are more expensive to install, but your pay back is in approx. 3 1/2 - 4 years depending on your local. Pond, Trench, or Well the result is the same when properly installed. What ever is most economical in your area.

make sure it is a closed system or it will lime up and be junk.
