Window type Heat Pump

Hello: I'm hoping some one here can give me a little help. I'm hoping to have a new woodworking shop next summer. I would like to have heat in the winter. I really dont want to have any gas type heat. First I heat my house with oil. Second I would have to have any gas heater installed by a lic. contractor.And I dont want to put out that kind of money. I was wondering just how well window type heat pumps work of heat a 320 sqft space. I have not had much dealing with them. The last time was about 15 years ago. I would think they have improved some since then. The space will be insulated. I line in VA and the winters here can get cold. So how well do the newer window type heat pumps work and how well in areas where it does get cold (our normal winter temps are 30's at night and 50's durning the day). The other reason I was thinking about a heat pump is for cooling in the summer.

as far as heat pumps go for windows they are kinda high in cost but you can get a ac/heat unit fairly cheap, we just put one in a garage window in ohio here.

i THINK IT WOULD WORK JUST FINE BUT JUST LIKE THE OTHER GENTLEMEN SAID IT WOULD BE VERY COULD COSTLY IN ELECTRICITY. gOOD LUCK
