I bought my 4 piece kit at HD a while back. While I am happy with the tools, I had a battery in use that started making a crackling sound and then smoke poured out of the vent holes. I called Ridgid Customer Support and was told that my kit was 89 days old. Brought it back to HD and got a whole new set.
What could be better than that??

I have had Craftsman, Ryobi, Skil ( a waste of money)and Milwaukee over the years and I feel that the Ridgid Combo is certainly a good product at a fair price. Just gotta remember not to use a cordless tool when a corded tool is actually needed.

I to am happy with my ridgid set, i have considered Ryobi and Skil, but i need a half inch Chuck and the only benifiet of Ryobi would be if someone steals it I don't need to be pulling my hair out. have you sent in to get the impact driver as well? I have and it has worked great for me driving screws into metal for Electrical work.
