saw blades

does anyone know of any problems with saw blades? I have an 18v cir. saw and a chunk came out of the blade while cutting 3/4 plywood and nearly cut off my finger! The guys i was working with could not believe this either after spending 14hrs in the emergency room they were able to repair it. although it will alwasys be numb because it has cut the radial nerve. just wandering if this was a big problem. the wood was brand new and had no nails in it and the saw hit nothing.

what kind of blades were you using? My brother had a ridgid blade that started tossing pieces of itself around before. I only buy Diable blades for all of my saws. No problems with these blades at all.
