I've been using the 1/4 sheet sander to sand some drywall, works great. I also have a porter-cable 1/4 sheet sander also new and the ridgid's motor is more solid and dust collection works better. One thing when working with the ridgid attached to a wet-dry (I have a ridgid 16 gal that ROCKS!) when sanding voltage can arc from the motor to your hand ZAP, it's a little zap that can be, well annoying. I suggest wearing gloves, I haven't been zapped since. Ridgid if your reading this you should look into this, maybe a grounding plate inside the motor vents would absorb this arc, if someone would sue for spilling coffee (like duh its hot) I can see someone trying this one.
