View Full Version : Herc-U-Lift-Plus!
After installing the Herc-U-Lift-Plus (AC9950) on my BS1401 bandsaw I liked it so much I bought one for my Craftsman table saw!
Did lots of comparison shopping and found nothing else to compare. Was only a few $ more than other poorly engineered table saw 'dollies'.
Quality of the parts; rugged wheels and heavy steel tube.

Cal, I had the same experience. I bought a TP1300 on a stand with Herculift Plus. Got it home; set it up; like the Herculift system so much.........back to HD and bought on for my old Craftsman TS.
(Don't tell anyone)... I'm going to tweak the design by inserting nylon washers between the corner brackets and the ends of the upper and lower assemblies.

I have a herc-u-lift on a TS2412. I am also impressed with the ease of use and sturdy design. I wished it raised the saw about another 1/2 inch as I often wheel mine out from the garage onto my driveway. Every so often I forget to lift it over the lip at the end of the garage and the front legs want to dig in and damage the screw posts.
But in the shop, it's a wonderful back saver. BTW, anyone know of a similar device for my Ridgid lathe?

That is a lot of money to spend unless you have one extra lift kicking around in the shop. I purchased a Port-O-Mate Model PM1000 mobility base (this is the second such mobility base I have purchased). Got it for $45 CDN (regularly $68 CDN). Even at regular price you save a lot of money (no disrespect to Ridgid). The PM1000 is rated for 300 lb at it works great in the shop! I even had 2 extra frame pieces left over due to the smaller foot print of the JP610 base. Try it ...you will like it! It is a *Made in USA* product too!

Big Dave,
If you call Ridgid parts, they will send you some extensions that enable the Herc-U-Lift plus to be used on a lathe.

I'm 99% positive that the Port-O-Mate PM1000 is a HTC Model 1000 just in a different package. Menards' had a special awhile ago on the HTC1000 but the display at the store was full of Port-O-Mate PM1000's.

Hi, new player here.
I am looking for a new castoer set like herc-u-lift. The only place I found one is calling TTI who referred me to Bilyeau(sp). They want $151.23 + shipping. I was hoping to do better than that. The port-o-matic is something I would like to find out more about. I live in Kansas and never heard of Menards. Can you give me any other source or where Menards is located?
Thanks
