just purchased this quality flaring tool.
Had the previous model originally from the middle 70's.
The new model has the ratcheting handle.
The old model you manualy turned it fully, moved it in or out after the flare unit "kicked out" on flare completion.
The main tube holder block also has some fancier chrome alignment pins.
Generally the new unit seems to have similar beefer weight(several pounds I believe)
Appears as sturdy and works quite well.
Perhaps with a slight less turning force required.
