Polisher Recommendation

I spent the last two afternoons waxing the car and truck using a $29 Craftsman orbital buffer and I’m thinking of stepping up to a professional model polisher before I tackle the next spring project of waxing the boat. Does anyone have any experience/recommendations on a purchase? I’m leaning towards either the Milwaukee 5540 or the Makita 9227.
