Well I got around to testing out my Bostitch BT-200 and I am only having one small problem, not sure if it is with the tool or the operator :D

Anyway, on page 8 of the manual it says to adjust the pressure as it says on pg 4 (70-120 psi) then use the knob on the front of the gun to set the height. Well the knob seems to have no effect. The brads countersink to the same depth regardless of setting. What am I missing??

The owner's manual is available on line....

this link should work....

www.bostitch.com/catalog_images/web_pdf/121037REVC_100dpi_manual.pdf (http://www.bostitch.com/catalog_images/web_pdf/121037REVC_100dpi_manual.pdf)

If that link does not work....it can be reached from the bostitich webbage on the gun itself.

Thanks All

I don't have the Bostitch but my Porter has a depth gauge. I find that if the nail is still sinking too far when depth adjuster is set for shallow drive I then have to reduce the air pressure. I usually set the adjuster about midway then adjust the air pressure for flush drive or slightly countersunk.

Yeah, the little air pressure gauges aren't real accurate. Play with that---but also, don't forget to account for the density of the wood you're using as well.
