Can I add a drill chuck to my right angle Ridgid impact driver.
I have a lot of holes to drill in 16" oc joists. Thought I could use my right angle driver

I am not familiar with the impact driver. What does it have now for a bit holder? If it is a hex socket, you can buy drill bits to fit them.

Up here Canadian Tire is running a TV ad for thier new 1/2" impact driver. It shows it removing lug nuts, tightening deck ledger board bolts and drilling holes with a spade bit. Since it has the same 1/4" hex adapter that the Ridgid angle driver has there must be hex shank spade bit around somewhere as Papadan suggests.

No we don't know of a chuck to fit it. Just buy drill bits made to fit the hex chuck on it.

MAKITA MAKES A 1/4'' KEYLESS HEX CHUCK THAT WILL FIT ANY 1/4'' HEX DRIVER. SELLS FOR APPROX. $27. AT H.D.
I PERSONALLY USE 1/4'' HEX SHANK DRILL BITS.

Thanks for the info Rick. Now he has a choice. I just like using the hex bits so I can instantly change whatever I want.
