Does anyone know where i might be able to find a brass wire wheel for a 6" bench grinder? If not brass something soft but non sparking? I want to use it to clean up corroded tools I pick up at flea market's, swap meets, garage sales, etc. Usually involves using some sort of solvent, MEK, or something similar. Flammable and a regular wire brush would cause sparks. So I need something that is spark free and gentle but still stiff enough to remove corrosion.

The only brass wire wheels i have been able to find are for the dremel.

thanks.

SPACE, THERE ARE SOME VERY GOOD NYLON STYLE BRUSH TYPE WHEELS. CAN'T THINK OF THE BRAND RIGHT NOW. WILL CHECK WHEN I GET BACK TO THE HARDWARE STORE. I HAVE ONE ON A KEY CUTTING MACHINE. IT GETS THE BURR OF THE CUT KEY.

Space, I don't know if you have a Lowe's near you but if you do they had quite a few brass wire wheels on display yesterday. Good luck.

Yes I have a lowes. A bit of a ride, but not too bad. Will check it out. Also contacted that spiral brushes that was suggested. They do make one, but they do not sell to the general public. They did however, give me a part number and info on a local distributor.

Thanks
