hello everyone could you please tell me what the slot is for in a bandsaws table and they also have a plug sometimes on a wire increasing the width of the slot.I connot find out anywhere ,wood working books, manuals,or people ive asked thankyou. thankyoucws for your answer earlier it seems to have got lost.I was trying to reply to you. I should have been more specific, 14 inch and larger saws with the table slot, not for putting on the blade like smaller saws. Maybe cws you had given me the answer alreay the slot is to help with the table from warpage .thankyou

The slot in the table is to change the blade. The plug in the end of the slot is to support the table at the slot so it does not warp or bend under the pressure of use.
