I am new to ridgid cordless tools and I am wondering what the differences are between X2 drills and the ones that aren't. Also do the Max HC batteries have a higher Amp/hr rating than the regular batteries.

Some of the differences between Std. and X2 models are;
1. Std. Drills have 3/8" chucks, X2's are 1/2" locking carbide chucks.
2. X2 Drills deliver more torque than the Std. Drills do.
3. The RPM range of the X2's are higher or equal to the Std. Drills. The exception to that is the low speed setting on the 18V Std which is higher than the 18V X2.
4. Batteries? :confused: Can't help you out with that. I just use mine till it runs out of juice and then I recharge it. smile.gif
