Deadline for lifetime warranty?

I Have a recent copy of an HD ad that states 1/31/04 as the cutoff for purchase of ridgid tools for the lifetime service warranty. Was that really changed from 12/31/03 or is it a missprint?

I believe it was officially announced by RIDGID after 12/15/03. They cited the lack of tools for the main reason in extending the promotional warranty period so yes, it it was really changed. If I were you, I'd try to take advantage of it. I don't expect it to be extended again.
