well i am ready to add a new saw blade to my arsenal. i have become partial to CMT and i own the general and cmt rip blade. anyway i am looking to add a melamene blade. i am between the cmt blade, and the forrest blade.
now correct me if i am wrong, but most laminate blades have alternating teeth that have a higher hook, to score the laminate prior to being cut to prevent chip out? the forrest does not have this. i believe the cmt does? is it necessary?
i chose the cmt blades in the past over forrest because i own a jointer. a jointer is something that i have found myself not using after cutting plywood/mel/laminates. too much chip out on it! this is why i am leaning toward the forrest. is the forrest worth the money in this case? or is there a better blade out there?
