Just read a post on Woodnet Forums about the 3650 getting a nationwide markdown at HD. Anybody know anything about this? Also, will that effect the $100 gift card deal?

It wouldn't suprise me. The 12V drill appears to have been permanently lowered from $129 to $119 at my local HD (after I alrady bought one %#!@). If Ridgid is reading these posts, they must realize that the general consensus is that the 3650 is a good value at 20% off.

I was in HD, and saw it for $547. The MS1290LZ was marked down to $547 as well.

redface.gif Seems like a pretty good deal to me. I doubt if you can find a 12" SCMS of equal or better quality for much less than $547. The only negatives on this saw that I recall ever seeing were a portability issue and the laser. The saw is a monster and, IMHO, is better suited for a shop environment than a jobsite. As far as the laser is concerned, well, there is not a single saw that uses this style of laser that can truthfilly boast that the laser line is the cut line.

Bager Dave,

For the record:

My Hitachi Lazer is not only true to the cut line, but it is adjustable.

The ridgid laser is off-set and non-adjustable.

looseknot,
I was in HD today and the promotional sign indicated the new price is $547 AND the $100 gift card applies. So that's a no brainer. You are not likely to find a better value in a brand new TS for under $450.

I didn't say that all lasers weren't true to the cut line. I said that no saw that uses the style of laser that Ridgid uses is true to the cut line. There are a number of saws that utilize the same laser that Ridgid does, Craftsman, Ryobi and ProTec to name just three.

Actually, my MS1290LZ laser is dead on from factory, and I made no adjustments. When I line up the laser with my mark, thats where the edge of the blade kerf goes, I just make sure to line up the laser before pulling it out/down. Perfect cut!

Thanks for the input Bytebutcher. I agree, I dont think you can beat that deal with a stick. I'm in the process of moving my shop to Cape Cod and was going to wait on the TS3650. Cant afford to wait now. Better buy it before they change their mind. :D

HD lowered the prices on most of the Rigid/Ryobi stationary and bench tools. Also on the Rigid drills. I'm not sure if is just for the 25th Anniversary or for longer. But the prices are unbeatable now.

I have not visited one of the local HD’s for a while, what is this $100 gift card you speak of?

Hey Woodslayer,
HD is offering gift card rebates with purchases of selected Ridgid power tools. Check out the HD website and click on promotions for a list of eligible power tools for gift card rebates. I'm in the market for a TS3650 which will entitle me to receive a $100 gift card. Not a bad deal. Check it out.

Why must they always have these discounts subsequent to me making my purchases? If you are in the market for a contractor style TS and you can take a 3650 home for $447 as butcher indicated, I would say that is a definite no brainer.

It sounds like this puts the Ridgid as the saw-to -have at that price. It is cheaper and has more bells and whistles than anything else.

Woodslayer,
If you bought your TS3650 after 6/1/04, you can stll submit the form if you still have your receipt

Well, I couldn't pass it up. Went to HD yesterday and picked up (not alone I might add) a 3650. It was marked down to $547. Then they were having a 10% off sale. Now we're at $492.30. The only question that remains is will I get a $100. gift card or $50. gift card? Depends on how they see it I guess. Worst case it will cost me $ 442.30. And I bought it in NH with no sales tax. As I said in a previous post, you can't beat that with a stick. :D

I also purchased the the 10" 3650 table saw at HD at $547.00 which I thought was a great deal in addition to the $100.00 gift card. The only problem is no one knew how to get the gift card which does not surprize me so I am sending in the standard gift card form. Unless someone can tell me how to get the card. Any way it is a great saw and the price can't be beat.

Hmmm, $100 gift card? I've also got an HD 10% off coupon burning a hole in my wallet. Maybe if I agree to let LOML use the gift card, that's how I justify a TS purchase. Gonna be a tough sell, I'm coming off a weekend where I bought a Ridgid jointer (grey one, NIB) and two  of the Makita RF1101 Router kits that are on sale at Lowes.

Dmots,

The form should be at the store, but if you"ll get me your address I can send one in the mail from my store.

Can we use the adobe PDF copy of the rebate form that is posted at homedepot.com?

I just picked up one of these saws tonight at HD. I didn't have the 10% off coupon. I will send in for the $100 gift card. The saw looks to be a pretty decent saw. I did look at the Sears, Delta and Jet. I almost bought the Jet saw. The Ridgid has a wider fence of 6" and the caster system underneath. When you deduct the $100 which of course you will have to spend at HD. I figure that you are getting more bang for the buck buying this saw. I was told that you will only get a $50.00 card if you use the 10% off. That will still put you ahead by $104.70 with the 10% off. I also found that some HD's are out of this saw.

It took 4 hours to put this Ridgid 3650 together tonight and get it lined up properly. I hope I don't need to do another one anytime soon.

Hi folks,

This is the first time I logged onto RIDGID forum, and what a surprise! I had no idea about the $100 rebate on TS3650. I have been looking for a table saw for a long time, considered Jet, Delta, and Ridgid. With this rebate, the answer is absolutely a no brainer.

I am buying the TS3650 tomorrow.
