I was at Home Depot tonight with my wife and noticed a pile of new RIDGID power screwdrivers (9.2 volt?). I think it has 5 adjustable positions.

I said out loud, "That's new," and kept walking. Now I can't find the damn thing listed anywhere online. I'm going crazier by the day ...

I'm not crazy. And it's 9.6 volts ...

Yeah, $99. Seems expensive.

Looks cool, though ... unless you already own a drill/driver and a right-angle impact, and your wife says, "what the hell would you need that for?"

Need and Want are two separate issues :D :D

That little screwdriver looks cool. Obviously meant to compete with DeWalt's DW920K (http://www.dewalt.com/us/products/tool_detail.asp?productID=2739) 7.2 volt screwdriver.

I've got one, had it about 3 years. It's very useful for the smaller, delicate tasks such as electrical wall plates, mounting boxes, etc. It won't turn large screws, but just fine for so many things. I paid $99.00 for it, so the Ridgid looks like it is going head-to-head with this.
I'd love to try one out.
