TS2400-1 Tilt Scale

Hi, Just wondering if anyone has had a proble the saw tilt indicator scale not lining up for the 45 degree angle? I am setting up the saw right now, per the manual, and I've run out of room in the slots cut into the scale. The saw is set to 45 degree but I can only get the scale to adjust to 41 degrees which will make it kind of hard to cut any angle other than 45's and 90's since the scale is inaccurate. Any help would be appriciated.

Personally, I don't trust the indicator scale on my saw. I use one of these, http://www.harborfreight.com/cpi/ctaf/displayitem.taf?itemnumber=34214
