1/2" cable repair on a k375

I was wondering if the repair kit for that size cable is still available, and if it is if anyone has any pointers on istalling it, like if i should weld it on or not

The catalog number for the 1/2" repair end is 59917. As far as installing it, I would recommend that you make sure that you have a square clean end wherever you intend on installing the repair end. It will thread over the cable like a nut would. Once it is threaded on all of the way you will not be able to remove it. Welding is not necessary. I hope this is of some assistance.

I wanted to weld it because I'm afraid it might unscrew itself inside the line, when running in reverse, if encountering a root "bundle". Them roots ain't no bundles'a fun.
And yes, I know, I really shouldn't be usin' this setup on roots...
Of course this type of stuff only happens to me...
