I bought an RT-100 electric soldering gun to flamelessly replumb the hydronic heating system copper pipe runs in the basement of my 50 year old home and replace the old cast iron rads with new copper baseboard rads. As there is only 7' of head clearance in the basement I plan to run the lines between the joists and near the sub-floor. The boiler runs at 18 psi @180F. Should I tin the pipe joints before soldering them?
