hvac, i was curious too. there are all sorts of different codes and standards across the country.
it should be required to have all the info when you sign up on these forums. seems like all the newer posters don't post any info such as the oldtimers do.

Makes is easier to judge someones advice/ suggestions if you know where they are from and what profession they are in. Imagine some 21 yr old desk jockey telling me about 3 phase wiring:eek: . And the laws do very form state to state and in the far east Electrical work is a lot different form here in Utah/Mormon land. (I can say that, since I am one:D )

I live in a state of confusion!:p
Actually, rural Niagara county, NY. We have Amish moving into the area from Ohio. Real nice folks.
I agree that everyone should be required to fill in their profile (without revealing too much personal info). If they wanna lie, that's up to them.
There is one WW forum that requires its members to use their real names!

Maybe I've overlooked it, but I don't see an option in the user CP to display where you live. Would you use edit signature, and just put your home town/state info in there?

Click on User CP and got to edit profile. Scroll down and you'll see.

I live in New York, down in the central southern tier area about 15 miles north of the Pennsylvania border. Corning is a suburb of Painted Post ;)
Hopefully we'll be moving to Binghamton, NY sometime in the next three months.
