JP0610 Jointer

I just finished assembling my Jointer and I couldn't be more pleased with its performance. Smooth cuts, etc. This is my first jointer so I have a question. I'm jointing and planing some narrow stock, no more than 2" wide. it occurs to me that over time I will be moving stock over the same part of the blade, that small section next to the fence. Should I plan on moving the fence over to vary the cut so that the blade does not wear down in that spot only?

Hi glad you are enjoying the jointer . Yes you should move the fence remembering to check that it is still at 90 degrees to the table . Good luck Anthony
