i have noticed the use a portable band saw quite abit in our shop.i just think this would be a good selling tool for you guys as well and if you do make one could you please make both corded and cordless models?
We make one. http://www.ridgid.com/Manuals/932V.pdf I believe its just corded though.

dang i have being in several home depots in both maryland and now florida and i have never seen one thereis it only avalable at plumbing suppy houses like threading machines? or am i just going to the wrong home depots also can you give me a guesstment on price as i i would really like to have one,thanks for the quick reply josh

Around here, you can find them at the industrial supply places that sell the Ridgid plumbing equipment. Don't know the price. You can probably find the name of a place by going to the Ridgid site and clicking on the "Where to Buy" tab. (Ridgid plumbing equipment and some of their heavy duty metal working/industrial grade tools are not sold strictly thru HD).

I have 5 HDs withen 10 miles of my place. One of them carries it in stock and the others have never heard of it. I have an old (70s) Black and decker industrial model that I bought used around 1985.($50) I would be lost without it. If it does give out I will buy the Ridgid to replace it with. Same goes for my Reciprocating saw that I use for work, even though for home use I have a Ryobi that works just fine for my home needs. MHO
