Cutting oil

I plumbed my house with galvanized pipe about 2 months ago and the water still stinks of cutting oil. What can i do to get rid of the foul smell? I used ridgid nu-clear oil with my pipe threader.

Why would you plumb your house with galvanized pipe,when there are so many better products on the market?

The best thing I can think to tell you is to use tri-sodium phosphate to clean the system. But when you finish you will need to chlorinate the system to make it sanitary and make sure you flush the system well.

Rip out the galvanized pipe and make some paper weights for xmas. Redo your house in copper...
