I'm not singling out anyone just this darn thread wouldn't let me edit.

You mentioned you had a lot of gas equipment. Would you buy again another gas powered air compressor knowing what you know now?

I'm asking this because there's one here at HD returned, marked down and it comes with a $125 gift card? Almost 30% off from regular price.

i would only buy a gas compressor if,

there is no power on the job that will run a regular compressor.

i use it on a daily basis.

i keep it in the truck and it's self contained.

i need a very large volume of air to run lots of equipment.

now i rent a towable compressor when i need 1.

a 2 hp. electric is comparable to a 5hp gas. 2hp. is the largest that can be plugged into a 115 volt 20 amp circuit. ( a real 2 h.p. motor, not all of these bogus compressors that advertise larger).

stick with the electric, you'll have it for life and spend very little on service.
