View Full Version : Problem with New Ridgid Tablesaw

I bought a new Ridgid tablesaw from Home Depot a couple months ago. Until today, no problems.

I went to use the saw today and it stops when running a board through it. Nothing has changed, but it's just not getting any power. I checked the basics, belt tension, alignment etc, nothing obvious.

I'm not sure what to do, I just bought the saw two months ago...

take it back to HD and get a new one. You have 90 days.

Does the motor stop? Are you using an extension cord?

Open the inspection cover on the motor and check for a loose wire connection.

The motor does not stop, but the blade does. I am plugging the saw directly into an outlet with the direct cord.

Make sure the set-screws on the pulleys are tight. I don't know if there is a key in there (pulley to shaft) also, so check for that too.
