How loose is the fence supposed to be? When I nudge it gently, but insistently using the palm of my had after locking it down, it does deflect.

Is this supposed to happen? I imagine not, but am unsure.

Is there an adjustment I can do to make it tighter, and hold better once locked. I went to the local HD today and tested the TS2424 fence and it's nothing like that.

There is a nut on the back of the fence. Simply turning it will tighten or losen the lockdown of your fence. You should get no deflection. I have mine adjusted a little on the stiff side to make sure I get no deflection. I have noticed it will losen up over time and will require periodic adjustment. If it is too easy to push the lever to lock the fence then the fence is too loose.

John

Bubba,

What John said. There is a 1/2" nut at the far end of the fence. Tighten it just a small amount
