Oh boy this dont look good

Oh boy this dont look good, even the experts dont have any advice for me on what to do next with my 1300 ridgid planer. So now I guess it is time to go on to the next step and put the 1300 up for sale, and buy a new planer. I have been looking at a Grizzly 20 " planer and would like to get anyones opinion of this planer. I will be planing about 200-400 Ln. feet of 6" and as wide as 20" poplar a day and soon will also be using for oak, maple other hard woods. I would like something that will do the job with out breaking the bank.

My comments are to get your TP1300 looked at by someone who knows what to look for before you go shelling out more money on a new planer. The TP1300 enjoys a fine reputation as a quality planer and to replace it without knowing what the actual problem is would be a mistake IMHO.

Thanks for the reply Dave, I was given some thing to check that I had not thought of by another member, I had gotten frustrated with the 1300, and I had rather find out what the problem is, and at the very lest keep the 1300 as a finish planer in the shop, and a larger planer in the wood shed for planing down the ruff cut.

I agree with Dave. With your TP1300 being only a couple of years old, you are probably still covered under the standard warranty. If you registered the planer for the Limited Lifetime Service Agreement, I'd call Ridgid Customer Suport at 1-866-539-1710 and see if you still can.
