Battery problems with R841151

Hi guys,

I own the R841151 for about 2 years now and the batteries that came with it are Just dead(Charger doesn't recognize it also).

I bought a new set(includes two batteries) of batteries from Home Depot(like a month ago), and guess what... THEY also DIED!

Does anybody know what is the problem ?

Im guessing its the Drill but Im not sure :confused: .

Help would really be appreciated.:D

i had the same problem with some of my older ridgid battery powered tools and i found out it was the connector in the tool that was worn out so i sent the drill and saw back to ridgid and was covered under the waranty

IIRC the switch on the drill is shorted internally and when ever you put in a new battery it sees the short and the batteries internal fuse pops

I think what i'll do is call ridgid for an RMA.
