I will still like to see Ridgid manufacture/sell a set of professional grade shower sockets. Stamp steel flexes and frustrates.

the socket i use most often is designed for a price phister stem. on 1 side it's for the stem and the flip side is the packing nut. it is a little longer than a common set of sockets and is a little beefier.
the set of 5 flip sockets rarely get used.
the new style valves, (pressure, temperature balance) typically don't require a real plumbing deep socket.
rick.

Yeah I've got some stamped sockets and they are very cheaply made - definately no Snap-on quality!
