Fancy colums around tele-post

I've looked at buying these things, but wow are they pricey. Was wondering if anyone on here has made their own. Was interested in the square ones with raised panel look, or fluted. Think i'm gonna build them instead. Anyone ever do this poject? Any suggestion on style would be greatly appreciated.Gonna be painted white.
