I just finished reading "Flushed: How the Plumber Saved Civilization" by W. Hodding Carter ( New York: Atria Books, c.2006).
I have more than a few quibbles with his description of plumbing (based on residential only), but found his popular history of plumbing interesting. He gives a history of sewage removal going back to pre-history, and also gives respect to the current plumbing that few in contemporary America do.
Has anyone read this, if so what is your opinion?
