i have double switch in the bathroom, and it runs to the attic with 3 wires (red, white and black, 2 hots and 1 neutral i suppose and one ground).

the fan has 2 sets of black and white wires and 2 grounds.

the old system worked independently, but it had 2 plugs, 1 for the fan and one for the light, built into the unit.

i think i'm confusing myself, but how can i wire this new unit so that the fan and light work independtly with the 2 switches.

thanks
Pete

Simple - connect the 2 white wires on the fan/light unit together along with the white wire in the attic. Connect one black wire from the unit to the black hot wire and the other black from the unit to the other red hot wire. Connect all the gounds together.
