TS3650 setup issues

First and probably not last post. I've got my new saw assembled (11-6-06)but I can't get a minimum of 1/8" clearance between the blade and insert as viewed from the rear per online manual page 24. I have loosened the front and rear trunnions but still can't get there. This keeps the 45 degree bevel from being acheived as the blade actually hits the insert. I know I have seen this posted before but I couldn't find a solution besides modifying or replacing the insert. Any ideas?
