Ridgid, we need carbide knives for the TP1300. the stell are ok for pine but I do alot of oak and they just don't last. I do like the way the blades are installed with no adjustments required. I know money to be made in selling steel blades but you would have a happier clientel if us serius woodworkers could have carbide. I bought this planner because it was recomened by others PLEASE CARBIDE ME!!!!

I don't know if they will or not but possibly one of these sizes of knives will fit the Ridgid planer (http://www.hartvilletool.com/product/10745).

Do you know about the WoodNet - Hartville Tool 15% discount program?

great site but those knives won't work. the ridgid knives have a notch at the ends. this notch makes the blades, when in the holder, easy to set and don't require adjusting, a great feature on the ridgid planner I would say,

Could a notch be ground in??? A few minutes with a Dremel and you might be set.
