Pipe cutter/threader machine

I have a stationary Rigid cutter threader machine and the oil only flows in reverse .... could there be some kind of obstruction or it a gasket in pump??

It's been many years since I used that kind of machine, but it seems to me that the oil pump has a couple of gears in it. I have a hard time understanding how the pump could run in reverse, unless someone messed with it. But it sounds like some disassembly is needed to look at the parts.
