Under the UPC that we follow in California, ridgid copper tubing is required to be color coded by type. Red for Type M, Blue for Tyle L, etc.
I was required to learn this as an apprentice, and if I recall, the were a few questions on the California contractor's exam ot the issue.
The last few years I have noticed that there is no color coding at all on the copper I recieve.
I don't like that, because there are many times where we are using several grades of copper on a job depending on the use and the spects.
Has anyone noticed this? Your thoughts please.
