So today, Bernanke says that no financial institution, no matter how large, should be let off the hook for its bad decisions.

Does he think we've already forgotten that he and Paulsen were the head cheerleaders that convinced Congress to bailed out the major banks because they were "too big to fail"?

I believe that all the major banks have gotten bigger since Lehman failed. Why were they "too big to fail" in late 2008 but ok now? Could it be that Mr. Bernanke is trying to rustle up some favorable public opinion now that the deed is done?

The Federal Reserve, a semi-private, semi-public operation controlled by the banking industry (including foreign banking interests), is indeed the root of all evil. I think many are coming to finally understand that these people are not your friend, and they are not the U.S.A.'s friend.

I live in Oklahoma and am going to be servicing a 40 gallon water heater tomorrow. Well replacing it. Right now it has 4inch single wall ran over bout three feet to the heating unit and taps into a 4x5 singlewall tee. On top if that tee is double wall. Since I have to raise the water heater I am going to have to raise the tee as well. Of course 4inch is to big but can I run three inch singlewall over to the new t and it be legal? Thanks for the input!

I have not been on a vacation with my wife and daughters in several years. I protest that with our expenses and debt, I can't justify the added outlay of more money we just don't have. I broke down this part weekend and took a two night, three day trip to Newport RI. I tried my best to not get upset as our money flowed like water from a broken jug. Twenty dollars to park your car for dinner and twenty to park your car to use the public beaches, which cost five dollars per person, per day!

Newport, in my opinion is a place for the wealthy, a fantasy land insulated from the stark reality facing much of the country. On our last day, we went to the beach and paid our fair share to sit on the crowded sand packed like sardines even when playing in the waves.

I remember beaches as uncrowded, free for all seeking to splash around or get a tan. What happened, when did all our beautiful open shores go on lock down? Well, I didn't enjoy myself and I told my wife I'll pass on another such vacation. I'm fine with the above ground pool in my backyard, and my local beach when the ecoli count is not dangerously high. God Bless America.

I'm in the midst of remodeling my kitchen. The electrician that did the rough wiring had to retire for health reasons. A second electrician is finishing up the job.
Under cabinet lighting is being installed. I'd like to have the lights installed at the front of the cabinets. The problem is, is that the wire that was roughed in is to short to reach the front. It's impractical to rewire. Is there a way to extend the wire? Are thin junction boxes made? One that would fit under the cabinet behind the frame (the frame is 1 1/4" deep)? Could a 5/8" pancake box be used?

I`m interested to find out what you use to cut engine power when water level in the tank gets too low. Several times Ive run out or nearly run out of water, and I have to do a mad sprint from the clients backyard to turn the jetter engine off. Our smaller jetter pumps don`t like to run without water for very long, and I don`t want to replace the engine if I could just install a low water alarm which also cuts power to the engine. I know some more expensive pumps have run dry capacity, but my little unit doesnt.
What sort of alarm device should I get ?

I wonder if all the hate speak, exageration and outright lies coming from the liberal media concerning the event are really nothing more than frustration over the fact that all of them together could not come close to drawing a crowd that large.?
Why are liberals so scared of anybody with deep faith? This country was founded by men with deep faith.
