Default Power venter connetion

There is a power venter on the cilling connected about 8" C vent in a coffee shop kitchen.

I have found that the installer connected the power venter and the pipe with duck tape, but the pipe was fallen by the weight.

The material of power venter is cast iron or similiar. I was going to drill 3 holes to connect the vent pipe with power venter. Before I do it, I better to ask you.

Duck tape connection does not stay long.

Please give me some advice.

Thank you.
