Default just completed...

Just finished this "high end" washers set for the church bbq. Kinda done tongue-in-cheek as most people refer to washers as hoosier horseshoes.

It's a game of washers, only done with white oak, dovetails, etc.

It was a prize for our church BBQ's washers tournament.

Recently finished a built-in hutch for a customer. It has since been painted white but no pics . The wave accent nearly sent me to the insane asylum, but after 3 evolutions with a steam chamber I decided to make it by laminating 1/8" strips till I had the correct thickness. The first image is from a magazine the customer gave me as a template.

Default Desk for my home office

This desk was a project for refreshing my skills after a long absence from woodworking.

It was built using a 3650 that I purchased last year and a 30 year old Black and Decker router (base mouldings and edging of top). Fortunatly when I relocated to Florida, I brought most of my hand tools.

Talking My 1st project

Well here it is. This is my first attempt at building furniture. Done some construction and finish work, but this is a whole different ball of wax. I think it turned out alright, although there will always be those small “sins” I’ll always see.

Table is 5’ x 5’ with a leaf to expand to 5’ x 7.5’. Pretty darn big, but just about right for my 4 boys. I built it from Lowes 2x4’s that I ripped the sides off then glued up. I took it to a cabinet shop and ran it through is 3’ door sander. It saved my months of sanding.

The lumber cost $70, extension kit and legs/hardware $230 from Rockler. Stain and finish $30. Not bad for a poor resident and a handful of nights and weekends.

My wife didn’t believe I could do it, and now she’s seen the final product has come at me with a list she wants next.
