Question
Does anyone know of "technique" links, or plans & ideas (how-to) links on making chess pieces? I'm working on my first "decorative veneer" project, a large chessboard, and would like to make my own chessmen. I have only limited experience with the lathe, and will be using your lathe in a colleague's shop when ready to build the chessmen. At this stage, I really need some ideas and techniques to make the project "beginners level" easy.
