I intend to purchase a planer and am wanting info. on the 13" Ridgid. If you have info on the sniping, performance or any other useful info I'd appreciate it. I am open to purchasing various brands but want info to make the decision.

That is a very general question, subjected to MUCH personal opinion.

Snipe and even planing are the two much sought after features of a planer. Besides, how much it costs. Not to mention, how easy is it to replace the blades.

I have some experience, and in that "some" experience, I like the Rigid Planer - all in all-.

If your outfeed table is adjusted right you will have very minimal snipe. I've got mine adjusted good because I can't really notice hardly any snipe at all. ..Donny
