Motor pulley...HELP!!!!

just assembled TS2424..any ideas on how to line up pulleys on motor to drive.. for a true line?????..book says to "eye" it..not that easy..clearances dont allow for a straight edge set between pulleys..???..any help would be appreciated...I just want it close toperfect as I can get..

Your eye is a remarkably high-precision tool. If you mount the belt on the pulleys and align it to look very straight, it will be very straight indeed.
